Mediterranean cuisine, international influences, oysters and fine dining – surrounded by green courtyards and lush vegetation. For Mario Pattis’ restaurant, we created a visual identity that captures this world and gives it a refined, almost French elegance.

Plants became a recurring element of the identity. Banana leaves and other botanical illustrations recall the delicate drawings found in old botanical books and herbariums: precise, finely drawn and used with restraint. They bring the atmosphere of the green courtyards into the design, connecting the natural surroundings with the sophistication of the cuisine.

The logotype uses a distinctive typeface whose delicate, expressive character reflects the atmosphere of the restaurant. Natural papers, with their tactile and slightly irregular surfaces, give the menus an understated materiality. Typography, botanical drawings and paper come together to create a world somewhere between Mediterranean ease, international fine dining and a subtle French spirit.
