The Contemporary Fresco. Translating Gärtnerplatz Classicism into the Visual Grid of a Modern Salon.

Designing a visual identity for a gastronomic culmination point demands an aesthetic that lends structure to the inherent dynamics of the space. The brand design conceived for Belforte at Gärtnerplatz functions as an architectural continuation of physical space into two-dimensional design. It acts as a nexus between the vibrant urban life outside and the focused salon atmosphere within. The corporate identity translates the neighborhood’s cosmopolitan spirit into an unagitated, sovereign design language, linking historic substance with contemporary lines.

The creative system derives its strength directly from the physical architecture. The prominent, space-defining ceiling fresco was not isolated as decorative accessory; instead, it formed the chromatic and conceptual matrix for the entire visual communication. Every typographic detail and the fine lines of the logo designcorrespond with the classical proportions of the interior. The color palette bypasses temporary visual trends. Instead, it relies on deep, mineral tones that harmonize with the materials used in the space—stone, wood, and matte metal—creating an enduring visual stability.

This uncompromising formal discipline informs every touchpoint of the project. The design of the printed menus follows a rigorous typographic hierarchy, providing clear orientation for the guest while reflecting the artisanal standard of the kitchen. In the digital realm, within the curation of the web design and online presence, this architectural logic continues seamlessly. The digital framework rejects narrative distraction, showcasing the spatial dimension and the visual rhythm of the location through a generous distribution of space and deliberate use of margin. A composition that achieves its impact through the precision of the detail.
